After about three weeks of Liam sleeping on the top bunk, which he refers to as a "bonk" bed, it was time to for Duncan to join in the fun. Two boys in bunks at last. Two boys and Little Elmo, that is.
Out with the nursery...
...in with the bottom bunk!
Big brother is thrilled! There are nights when they are still awake after an hour of noises, but the novelty will wear off soon enough. The mornings are the best, when we hear, "Hey Duncan. Hey Liam. Climb up on the top bonk. There's a 7 at the first and we can get up now. Let's go play..." Then there is the stampede of little feet running down the hall.
Naps are a bit more of a challenge, as Duncan (sporting nap hair below) doesn't always want to take a nap, or rest, or lay in bed, or even stop singing. His singing is pretty cute though, even if at times it does last for 2 1/2 hours!
One project that we recently worked on was for Valentine's Day. We heard of a nursing home that was requesting handmade valentines from willing children, for its residents. Each of the boys made a few and Liam's are pictured below.
And Duncan's efforts.
